Michael HölzlSoftware Engineer / Product Owner
Michael is a software engineer and information security researcher with a special interest in cloud-native and mobile security. He worked in research throughout his studies at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria as well as at the Johannes Kepler University (JKU) Linz, where he focused on topics like electronic identities, cryptographic protocols, tamper-resistant hardware, and privacy enhancing technologies on mobile devices. Together with Google, he implemented parts of his research on electronic identities within the identity credential store that is available since Android API level 30.
Michael joined Dynatrace in 2019 as Software Engineer in the Application Security department and is now leading the cloud-native security research team as product owner. Together with his team, he is investigating new techniques and methods to identify and mitigate security threats within cloud applications.
